Part of Breguet’s ‘Classique’ collection, the 5157 is the successor to the 5130 and continues the brand’s tradition of Swiss watchmaking at its absolute finest. The watch houses one of the thinnest automatic movements on the market today, with the case measuring a mere 5.35mm thick. Despite it being an ultra thin watch, we love how it retains strong wrist presence thanks to the 38mm wide solid yellow gold case, large silver face, blue hands and stunning guilloche dial. The 5157 has all the hallmarks of a classic watch made by one of the most established and respected brands in horology.
It’s not an understatement to say this watch feels like its spent most of its life tucked away in a safe. Despite a few hairline marks, the watch is pretty much as good as new condition. It’s fitted to a hardly worn black Breguet crocodile strap and benefits from the addition of an unworn brown Breguet crocodile strap.
The watch comes as a full set with its original box and papers (dated 2005). It was originally purchased in Watches of Switzerland on Bond Street in London.
